A Culture of Gentleness at WIN
From the beginning, WIN chose not to engage in traditional practices of support including running “group homes” or employing physical management such as restraints. Over time, WIN’s philosophy and values have evolved as we learn and grow as individuals and as an organization. WIN now embraces the philosophy of Gentle Teaching and asks its caregivers to use this approach in supporting the people we serve, and in our interactions with each other and our community.
